Lễ trao giải Viện Hàn Lâm năm 2022 (hay còn được biết đến với tên gọi lễ trao giải Oscars lần thứ 94) sẽ được tổ chức vào ngày 27 tháng 03 năm nay.
Như thường lệ, giải thưởng vẫn sẽ là nơi tôn vinh những tác phẩm điện ảnh, nhà làm phim, diễn viên cũng như các nhân viên có đóng góp quan trọng đối với ngành công nghiệp điện ảnh Hollywood. Giải thưởng được tổ chức tại Nhà hát Dolby Theaters - một địa điểm quen thuộc nằm trên Đại lộ Danh vọng Hollywood.
Năm nay, do sự ảnh hưởng từ việc gia hạn thời gian phát hành phim từ kỳ trao giải Oscars năm trước cũng như đại dịch COVID-19, lễ trao giải buộc phải hoãn lại muộn hơn cũng như nâng thời hạn phim xét giải. Theo đó, chỉ các bộ phim ra mắt từ ngày 01 tháng 03 đến ngày 31 tháng 12 năm 2021 mới được gửi tham dự kỳ đánh giá lần này.
Cũng như tiết lộ từ trước, lần đầu tiên kể từ năm 2018, lễ trao giải Oscars sẽ sử dụng người dẫn chương trình (host) trở lại. Hiện tại, thông tin về người sẽ đảm nhiệm vị trí quan trọng này vẫn chưa được tiết lộ.
Trong thông báo trên Twitter chính thức, danh sách các đề cử rút gọn cuối cùng ở các hạng mục đã được Ban tổ chức công bố trực tuyến vào lúc 20 giờ 18 phút tối nay (08 tháng 02). Diễn viên kỳ cựu Leslie Jordan và Tracee Ellis Ross (The High Note) sẽ là người trực tiếp tiết lộ các đề cử.
